Ok, so you've waived your flag, shot off your fireworks, barbecued your eggplant and now you have the holiday hangover. You could eschew the outside world and pick at leftover potato salad...OR...you could come to market and douse the July 5th blues with some July 5th blueberries. If fresh, local fruit isn't your style, maybe you can become unencumbered with some cucumber.
Weavers Way Farm will be bringing pretty much what you see
above - lettuce, eggplants, cucumbers, onions, squash, beans, beets, carrots,
flowers and herbs. As we have mentioned before, this cornucopia is the
definition of local - the farm is about two miles away. If you are concerned
about food miles, freshness or flavor, find the farm from Weavers Way.
Sorbello Girls will be
in the house as usual. As is their custom, their bounty will be as varied as it
will be plentiful. It will include: tomatoes, corn, peaches, nectarines,
blueberries, squash, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, spinach, arugula, plum
tomatoes, string beans and cantaloupes
Zea May's will be back at market this week after a brief hiatus. For sure there will be bison hot dogs, empanadas and natural grain salads for all market patrons to enjoy.

Finally,
this week's craft vendor is Bobbins
and Bits. Bobbins specializes in headbands, rings and other pretty things.
Sounds cute! The proprietor of Bobbins, Michelle Grant, has been crafting since childhood. She has a B.S. in Interior Design from Virginia Tech and has just recently moved to this area. Let's welcome her to the neighborhood by buying some of her stuff.
