Things Are Heating Up In Mt. Airy

This Thursday, the Mt. Airy Village Farmers' Market will be moving to it's permanent summer home in front of the C.W. Henry School on Greene Street intersecting at Carpenter Lane. There will be much more space and visibility for our humble little market and we are extremely excited to say the least. Although tomorrow's heat index is poised to compete with the median temperature of Hades, the idea of more space makes things a little more comfortable (we hope).

More room means more opportunities for new vendors/crafters/musicians and over the coming weeks, the market will be hosting all of the above. This week's crafter, Poonam Mitra of Poonam Designs, will make her first appearance at the market and will bring a wide array of jewelry, apparel and accessories. Mitra characterizes her wares as "...classic, yet unique styles that offer women the ability to make an individual statement." Chic!

So remember, stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and come out to the market. Really, what better dinner on a blazing hot day than a fresh salad followed by some fresh fruit? And then you can model your new shirt/blouse/necklace in the mirror. Hey look, you can get it all at the Mt. Airy Village Farmers Market!
